ZTE Hawkeye Price In Nigeria, Specs And Review

Writer and Social entrepreneur.

When you come across the word ‘Hawkeye’, you cannot help but imagine the rationale of the makers in producing the phone. Could it be that the camera (eye) of the device is its major selling point or could it be a lot more than that? We’re about to find out soon enough.

ZTE corporation has just released a new smartphone and this one is called the ZTE Hawkeye.

Design and Display of the ZTE Hawkeye

The ZTE Hawkeye measures 154 mm in length x 76 mm in breadth and 7.9 mm in thickness, while it features a 5.5 inches screen (~71.3% screen-to-body ratio) with a Resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels which is actually a good one for viewing.

The ZTE Hawkeye has a fingerprint sensor just beneath the rear camera to help unlock the phone faster and secure private files too.

ZTE Hawkeye Camera

One would surely think this is exactly where ‘Hawkeye’ comes into place. This might be so because the rear camera consists of a combo 12 MP and 13 MP camera quality. The front facing camera boasts of a mere 8 MP, which further stresses the fact that selfie takers are being discriminated and its like the campaign against them has taken a canter stage in the scheme of things.

Today, its hardly possible for you to see a smartphone with the same camera quality for both the rear and front facing camera. As I said in some phone review post earlier, I’m still looking for an explanation for this.

Processor and OS of the ZTE Hawkeye

The ZTE Hawkeye smartphone runs on an Android Nougat OS. Powering speed and performance inside the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset with an octa-core CPU processor, while it has a speed of 2GHz.

Memory and Storage of the ZTE Hawkeye

The ZTE Hawkeye boasts – for smooth functioning and multitasking – of a 3 GB RAM while it packs an internal storage of 32 GB. The internal storage can as well be expanded to the capacity of 256 GB with the simple use of a micro SD card.

Well, as you might have noticed before now, the 3 GB RAM is just like a standard which we set for this new year and ZTE just happens to be on point with this one.

ZTE Hawkeye Battery

Just like the ZTE Hawkeye have met the minimum standard we have set for certain very important specs, they have also met the battery part as they possess a Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery. Many people – me inclusive – would have wanted a higher battery capacity but then, its all good. 3000 mAh is a fair battery capacity for phone makers like the ZTE corporation.

Multimedia and connectivity

The ZTE Hawkeye supports the WiFi connectivity, can transfer or receive files via Bluetooth support, track location with GPS and possesses the type C USB port. It surely still possesses the 3.5 mm audio jack.

Price of the ZTE Hawkeye in Nigeria

To the determinant of so many things, the ZTE Hawkeye sells for about N35,000, which is to me, a fair price given its specifications. It would surely compete favorably amongst other phones of its caliber and category or price range.
