A partnership ensued between Mobile Telecommunication Company Vodacom and ICT accelerator Innovator Trust to launch a Youth Entrepreneurship programme that will last for six months.

Vodacom made a statement on Wednesday 8th of November that the program is aimed at unemployed youth and to create innovative minds amongst them while making opportunities for jobs.

10 graduates who are the first beneficiaries of the Vodacom Academy Programme will be receiving support with business idea development, business plans, and their business models. Also, areas including due diligence, pitching, compliance, human resources, financial management as well as crucial elements of corporate and labor law will be touched.

Vodacom did not disclose as to who will be funding the project, but Vodacom corporate affairs chief officer Takalani Netshitenzhe only made it known that the programme will be assisting young skilled entrepreneurs who don’t have business skills needed to grow a business.
