Tecno S1, another budget device from Tecno,
We all know Tecno to be the orchestrator of affordable smartphones in Nigeria. However, it got to a stage that that story changed and Tecno became the OEM that produces super quality at really high process. You can take a look at the Tecno Phantoms smartphones and see what I’m talking about. Of late, the Asian OEM released the Tecno Spark K7 and Spark Plus K9 that represented the smartphone’s initial market dominating move – cheap and affordable with quality specs. The Tecno S1 is another budget device that comes out with not so bad specs. Let’s take a dig into the low-end Tecno S1 people.
The smartphone’s display is a 4.0-inch display screen. This small display screen also comes with a small display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels that gives texts and images their clarity. The screen display type is the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The smartphone also has the multi-touch capability.
The camera unit of the smartphone is poor and gives it off as a low-end device. The rear camera uses a 2MP lens for its image capturing function and video recording. A soft f;ash is what acts as the brightener in low light conditions as well as off-light conditions. The front has no camera. Therefore, the taking of selfies is made somewhat difficult.
PROCESSOR AND OS
Tecno decided to integrate the Android 6.0 Marshmallow as the operating system of the smartphone. In the processor department, the smartphone uses a four-cored processor that runs at a low processor speed f 1.3GHz.
Multi-tasking on the smartphone isn’t that fluid as the smartphone packs a 1GB RAM. Its internal storage is 8GB. This low internal storage can be extended up to 32GB with the use of a micro SD card, allowing more space for the storage of music, documents, photos, apps and videos.
The smartphone uses an extremely low Lithium Ion 1,500mAhbattery as its powerhouse. The battery is a removable and replaceable type.
The smartphone sells for 22,000 naira in Nigeria.
