Recent reports have it that Galaxy Note 7 is in high demand in Korea. Information provided also claims that Samsung has received tons of pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 7, almost twice as much compared to the Galaxy S7’so 100,000. Korean consumers have been able to pre-order the Galaxy Note 7 for only a couple of days at this point, and the company has already received over 200,000 pre-orders it seems.

This is the company’s latest and greatest smartphone, and it’s somewhat different than its predecessor. The Galaxy Note 7, unlike the Galaxy Note 5, features a 5.7-inch display with a curved AMOLED screen at a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels.

It is available with 64GB of internal storage (around 53GB available to the user) and includes a microSD card slot that can hold up to 256GB. The inclusion of this port is a response to the criticism Samsung faced in 2015 when it omitted the port from the Galaxy Note 5. The Galaxy Note 7 is the first Galaxy smartphone to feature an iris scanner, which provides extra security for the user, and also includes a secure folder that is one of its main features. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is also Samsung’s first smartphone to feature a USB-C port.

According to other reports, the phone will be available in Nigeria on or before the 2nd of September.

Presently, The phone is available to pre-order from Korea’s three major carriers – SK Telecom, LG Uplus, and KT Telecom. Samsung has also thrown in a free Gear Fit 2 with a pre-order, a deal that is also available in Western markets, and is offering half price screen replacements and a 100,000 won ($90) gift card that can be used at the Samsung Pay Mall. All of this is sure to tempt a few extra pre-orders.

I guess the Samsung management had already seen this coming because the Samsung Mobile’s chief, Koh Dong-jin, recently said that the company expects the Galaxy Note 7 to outsell the Galaxy Note 5, and that’s an expected reaction from the company’s head, and could easily become a reality. The Galaxy Note 7 looks like a cross between the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S7 Edge, and is a somewhat fresh approach to design by the company, and the first Galaxy Note phablet which does not ship with a flat display.
