Nokia is not willing to relent anytime soon and they must have gotten a boost right from when Nokia 6 was sold out in just a minute. It is seeming like HMD global has the right team and resource to return the Nokia brand to where it ranked in its prime days.

Nokia has now hinted that there’all be a Nokia 3, even after we’re expecting the Nokia 6 and Nokia 5 smartphones. The Nokia 3 smartphone has been reported to be a budget smartphone – you’ll see for yourself too – which could be one of their strengths and selling points during marketing.

Stay with me as I lead you through the specifications of the Nokia 3 smartphone.

DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY

Nokia has decided to impress fans and potential ones too with a 5.2 inches screen (our unofficial benchmark is 5.0 inches). So be rest assured that you’ll surely NOT be getting a small and uncomfortable smartphone that won’t even fit comfortably in your hand.

The Nokia 3 smartphone is built with a metal aluminium design and as expected, it supports the 4G LTE network. I am guessing that with all these recent developments and wide patronage of the 4G, it is farewell to the 3G network.

Nokia 3 smartphone would come with a display Resolution of 1280 * 720 pixels (HD) and would run on the Android Nougat operating system v7.0.

HARDWARE, MEMORY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE NOKIA 3 SMARTPHONE

The Nokia 3 smartphone would come with ahcer 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with a processor Speed 1.4GHz, while the processor is Quad-core.

Quite disappointing, the Nokia 3 would come with a 2GB RAM. To be honest, I am somewhat NOT happy with this feature from Nokia. If they think a 2 GB would make me impresses with the Nokia 3, THEY LIE! I am not at all, even for a bit impressed. I think they can and should have done better.

This device would come with an internal memory of 16 GB and can as expected, be expanded with the use of a micro SD card. The sensors available include Accelerometer, Light, and Proximity sensor. I was expecting to see a fingerprint sensor but it seems that’s not going to be possible.

NOKIA 3 CAMERA

The Nokia 3 rear camera would come with a 13 MP camera quality while discriminating the front camera and relegating it to a mere 5 MP camera. The last time I was reviewing a phone – the Gionee A1 – they put the front facing camera way above the rear camera. Now this is what I have always advocated for, or better still, both of the cameras should carry the same quality. Nokia has disappointed me in this case.

MULTIMEDIA AND CONNECTIVITY

The Nokia 3 would come with Bluetooth v4.2 while it would support WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, with Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot. It has GPS with A-GPS and also with a micro-USB v2.0. Noteworthy is the fact that it still has the 3.5mm audio jack.

BATTERY OF THE NOKIA 3 SMARTPHONE

A phone with great specs – even if this is not too great – would surely need a greater battery to back it up. Well, the Nokia 3 smartphone battery capacity has not been confirmed yet, since these specs are rumors, or better still, I’d like to call them “likely rumors”. But we hope they’ll be worth the price which you’ll see below. Leggo!

PRICE OF THE NOKIA 3 SMARTPHONE

Now, what makes you decide if you’ll get this phone or not, the price right? The launch price of the Nokia 3 smartphone is pegged at ₦78,500 in Nigeria, Rs. 10,550 in India, ¥1080.73 in China, $157 in USA and €149 in Europe.

Personally, I’d say the price isn’t too fair considering the 2 GB specs and all, but would it sell out like the Nokia 6 smartphone?
