When I see people praise billionaires when they see them with a low-end phone, I only shake my head bemoaning the facet that these people don’t know how much they actually got the “low-end phone”, they are only assuming it is the routine low end phones they see around selling for less than N5000.
Well, today, we would be looking at a low end phone which doubles the cost of an Apple iPhone 7 unit. What makes the price difference this high is because this phone is made of nothing less than 18 karat gold. Yes, you heard right.
Iconic luxury phone and accessories maker Gresso announced its latest product, the Meridian Diamond Edition. The smartphone comes with an elaborate design, the body is made from a single plate of grade-5 titanium; Each key is individually encrusted with a .1kt diamond.
For the black edition, the keyboard is made up of 18 karat gold with a 18k yellow or white gold logo on the front panel. While for the other variant features a titanium body, with a stainless steel keyboard.
The price of this phone is placed at a whooping $3000 (N1,050,000).
Personally, if I ever think of getting this phone, then someone must have convinced me that after dismantling and selling its part, I’ll be making a profit of over a million naira. What would I want to use such a phone for? Some people even questioned if the phone can call the heavens – valid question if you ask me.
