What makes the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note worth taking a look at in the face of so many cheap Chinese brands with good specs? For starters, Lenovo products tend to be good. They are a well known brand with a reputation to protect. Also, the Vibe k4 Note comes with some impressive specs at a modest price. Let’s have a look at the specs.

Available in black at the time of its launch, the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note is an IPS capacitive touchscreen Android 5.1, Lollipop, smartphone utilizing the awesome Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to give the display added protection. At about 9mm, Lenovo vibe k4 is not your ultra thin smartphone like Samsung Galaxy S7. But then, this is not a flagship device. However, the 5.5″ touchscreen smartphone has an impressive display resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at a PPI of 403 pixels per inch.

That is some high end resolution to display pictures and videos from a decent rear camera of 13 MP and secondary camera of 5MP. The camera specs also include face detection autofocus, dual LED and touch focus among others.

lenovo vibe k4Lenovo Vibe k4 Note is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 chipset with an octa-core Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. The GPU is the MALI-T720MP3 to handle all graphics operations in the smartphone. Lenovo Vibe k4 Note comes in two variants differentiated by the size of the internal storage and RAM. There is the basic 2GB RAM with an internal storage of 8, 16, and 32 GB. The higher end model has an installed RAM of 3GB and internal storage of 16 GB. All models have a microSD card slot to further expand the storage up to 128 GB.

As for the battery, the Vibe k4 Note has an installed non-removeable Li-Po 3300 mAh battery. According to Lenovo, you can squeeze about 270 hours on 3G with the phone. Talk time is over 20 hours on either 2 or 3G.

The phone would be sold at a very competitive price of about $178 for the 3GB RAM model. That is roughly N36,000 at the official dollar rate of N199 to $1. Not too bad for a 3GB RAM phone, don’t you think? If you can’t wait before the phone is launched in Nigeria, you can pre-order it through kulimart. Those guys are doing a good job of importing these mid-range Chinese phones.
