Good morning to you all! As the weekend kicks off today, the review of the unique Huawei P10 Lite will appear on our phone’s screens. Stay tuned while we go for commercials. *Applauds*. You’re welcome back to this great show. Well, that’s just on a lighter mood.
Chinese manufacturers Huawei have sported a magnificent device, Huawei P10. You’ll agree with me when I say the smartphone big boys are taking the smartphone market extremely serious. A device that’s classified amidst the mid-range smartphones – Huawei P10 Lite still has dynamic features that’ll make you call it a flagship.

The device sports amazing features such as the impressive 12MP rear camera size, dual glass design and even the 5.2 inch display size. That’s more or less a classy touch of finesse. Another amazing feature of the Huawei P10 is the presence of everyone’s favorite and trending feature – the fingerprint sensor. One will definitely expect it to not have this feature because its flagship didn’t come with the fingerprint sensor feature. How about saying a Lite version that’s “Kinging” its flagship?
What I can categorize as a deficiency in the smartphone is the absence of the Corning Gorilla Glass. In a world where most of smartphone’s screen durability is heavily dependent on the kind of screen protection available, you’ll want to spew at the thoughts of a smartphone having so low protection. Nevertheless, the usage of a phone protector will go a long way in serving the purpose of protection.

Let’s leave the summary phase for now, and go into the full details of the device. Stay with me as we dissect the classy makeup.
The Huawei P10 Lite possesses a display size of 5.2 inches which is 0.1 inches more than Huawei P10’s display size. As compared to other smartphones in the smartphone market, this feature is a shortcoming on the part of Huawei. A Nokia 6 smartphone even possesses a 5.5-inch display size, and then Huawei, who have been in the smartphone business for long, have lesser display size. The 5.2 inches display size isn’t bad on the other hand because it’s still okay.

The 5.2 inches display comes with the IPS LCD screen. The screen’s resolution being pegged at 1080 x 1920 px. Huawei decided not to use the Corning Gorilla Glass for its P10 Lite. The manufacturer have decided not to make the type of screen glass used to be known. Therefore, as I said earlier, the best bet is to use a screen protector. The device’s dimension is 146.5 x 72 x 7.2 mm. The weight is of Huawei P10 Lite is light at 146g. The ‘Lite’ in its name is truly defined.
The device has a dual glass design that just exemplifies perfection. The dual glass design which is more or less becoming a trademark for Huawei devices just fits into the P10 Lite bodywork with precision. At the back of the device is the fingerprint sensor which takes a square shape below the rear camera. The rear camera also has a LED flash closely put on its side. Having a notification LED at the top and sensors on its 5.2 inches outlook, the device promises a quality feel. Also about Huawei P10’s design, its volume key and power button appear on the right position of the smartphone. It’s USB port appears at the base. And as most would expect, the smartphone’s audio jack is at the top. The Huawei P10 Lite comes in variants of Blue, White, Black and Gold.

I’ll answer a question that must have popped in your mind. No, it doesn’t hyave a double camera. The smartphone has a 12MP primary camera with autofocus. This isn’t bad for a smartphone of Huawei’s status. The device has a single LED flash that appears on the side of the 12MP camera. The front camera is an 8MP camera. This promises quality selfie pictures. Other camera features include face and smile detection, panorama, HDR and many more.
Everything you can ask of in the connectivity region is packed on the device. Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1 and as usual FM Radio are available for connectivity. For positioning purposes, GPS is also supported. Its also supported with a 3.5mm audio jack that appears at the top of the device. The device comes with the USB 2.0 port and not the 3.0 port. I’m just tired of complaining about these smartphone manufacturers that aren’t using the USB version 3.0. The device also doesn’t come with the USB Type-C. The device supports dual SIMs. And just like the trends of smartphones, the second SIM slot has to be sacrificed if the user wishes to use a MicroSD card. 4G network type is supported on the device.
While some could have expected the chipset used to be Snapdragon, Huawei have decided to stick to their indigenous chipset. The chipset used is the octa-core CPU Kirin 658. The chipset comes along with eight A53 cores. The GPU supported on the device is the Mali-T830, to ensure excellent graphics output.
OPERATING SYSTEM (OS)
Supported by Huawei’s very own user interface – EMUI ROM, P10 Lite is made a cool don. The Emotion UI interface that’s supported on Huawei P10 Lite is the latest of Huawei’s indigenous interface, that is, version 5.1. The Emotion UI interface allows you to get the iPhone feel if you so wish. The homescreen has all the apps present – reminiscent of iPhone. The Emotion UI gives users access to the lockscreen style but once the fingerprint unlock method is selected, the lockscreen style is eliminated. The Emotion UI also allows the cloning of apps. Cloning of apps is simply doubling of apps. Although, the feature is only available for the most popular social media apps – WhatsApp and Facebook. The Huawei P10 Lite’s operating system is the latest Android version Nougat 7.0.

Sometimes, you reason if these top smartphone companies are scared of going all the way to give an A+ grade battery size. The Huawei P10 Lite comes with a not so good 3,000mAh. You know where I’m going with that but I’ll rather leave you to think of it. However, when tested, the battery was seen to be on an average level. The battery is a non-removable battery. This trend being followed by smartphone manufactures – sealing of batteries- will one day make us forget we ever saw phone batteries -just for jokes.

RAM AND INTERNAL MEMORY
The device has variants of the RAM. Some are 3GB RAM and some are 4GB RAM. The internal memory is 32GB. Well, this shows that Huawei really mean business. This internal memory, as large as it seems might not be enough for some Olivers, that;s why the hybrid SIM slot that can serve as position for MicroSD card was made available. The internal memory is expandable to 256GB.
