Google, the sole owners of Android OS, has launched another flagship smartphone into the market. The Google Pixel 2 comes along with the Google Pixel XL as the latest flagship devices from Google. In this article, we’ll be taking a look at the Google Pixel 2. The Google Pixel 2XL will be looked at in the next article. The Google Pixel 2 arrives with the latest Android OS, the Android 8.0 Oreo. While many are still trying to digest the Android 7.0 Nougat OS, the Google Pixel arrives with something even sleeker. Another cool thing is its design. The smartphone features dual speakers at its front. The quality of these speakers will even make you reconsider using your headphones. While we’re still mesmerizing, let us look deeper into other technical features of the device.

Coming with an AMOLED screen display type, Google Pixel 2 has 5.0 inch display screen. It’s small and its one that lovers of small smartphones will love to handle. I’m not in that category though. Its screen resolution is the same as the Xtigi Discovery 1, 1080 x 1920 pixels. It has an excellent pixel density of 441 ppi. Absolutely fantastic are the texts, images and icons produced on the display. The smartphone has the IP67 certification that ensures it is dust and water resistant. Another awesome feature of its display is the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 that gives protection.

Android 8.0 Oreo is what serves as the smartphone’s operating system. In its processing unit, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is what functions as the chipset. For the records, this is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.

The rear of the smartphone has a 12MP camera to its name. A LED flash support is available to brighten images in dark or almost dark conditions. The front of the smartphone has an 8MP selfie camera that lacks a flash.

There’s a 4GB RAM that takes care of multi-tasking. The smartphone has two internal storage variants; 64GB and 128GB.

The smartphone’s powerhouse is a low non-removable Lithium Ion 2,700mAh battery. It has a Quick Charge technology that makes it charge faster.

The Google Pixel 2’s price is US $650
