I am very sure you would like to know a few things about this new messaging app so you can quickly determine if you’re porting from whatsapp or Facebook immediately. JUST STAY WITH ME.

1. SMART REPLY

Allo’s “smart reply” function uses Google’s machine learning technology to suggest a reply to the last message, which can be selected from a few options.

2. INCOGNITO MODE

3. WHISPER SHOUT

“Whisper Shout” allows the user to increase or decrease the size of a message to represent volume.

4. GOOGLE ASSISTANT

This is one of the current apps that supports Google Assistant, a conversational virtual assistant.

It carries a number of like-minded features which includes
>> group chatting,
>>stickers packs
>>and the option to let messages expire.
>>Dedicated Assistant akin to Google Now, which can readily answer your questions and queries with the ‘@Google’ command.

The big thing that’s missing is the ability to make video and audio calls, which was intentional, probably due to the existence of its twin brother, Duo which is a video chat mobile app developed by Google, available on both Android and iOS. It was announced at Google I/O on May 18, 2016 alongside Allo, an instant messaging app. Duo launched in the United States on August 16, 2016 and globally a few days later. Duo quickly climbed to the number one free app on Google Play within two days of its initial release.
