Sequel to our report yesterday about fundings that are available for young African entrepreneurs, we were able to give you information about the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Program (TEEP), how to apply and the benefits. So today we will be giving out a little information about another funding opportunity for young African entrepreneurs.

Meltwater Entrepreneurship Program (MEST) — $100,000

This is an opportunity opened to all aspiring African techies and entrepreneurs from Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST). It’s an open opportunity to join the next set of dynamic trainees, having the opportunity to become a world-class software developer and receive funding for their startups by putting in for the one-year long programme in Accra, Ghana which will commence by August 2018.

Some of the benefits of putting in for this is the exposure that the entrepreneurs get to new and diverse cultures and also the opportunity to be groomed to compete in the global market and eligibility to receive the seed-funding of $50,000-$100,000 from the Foundation.

How to apply

If you see this opportunity as one for you, you can log on to the website. Deadline for submission of application is in May.
