Android Nougat update for Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge'

Earlier this month, a list of smartphones was released by infinix that’ll be getting the Android v7.0 Nougat update, even when a beta version started rolling out to Infinix Note 3 and Note 3 Pro just to test the stability of this OS with Infinix devices.

The Android v7.0 Nougat OS comes with a whole lot of features that’ll prove very useful to users including the ease which comes with multitasking, or the redesigned emojis or even the Chrome dual window feature amongst many others.


The Android Nougat 7 packs new features like;

*Split-screen mode which allows you to use two applications or windows on your smartphone screen side-by-side (or stacked) at the same time.

*Optimized battery usage.

*New pull-down shortcuts and toggles.

*Other new features included in Android 7.0 Nougat.

Do you want to update your Infinix Note 3 and Note 3 Pro devices, then you would have to download the update package with your smartphone and applying the update in system settings. Do that by following the steps below.


*Go to your phone settings.

*Click on “About phone”.

*Select “System update.”

*You have to ensure that your data connection is on and allow the phone search for the Nougat update.

*When the update is seen, tick the Wi-Fi only checkbox if you want the download to be carried out only over a Wi-Fi network, and untick it if you want to use a mobile network to carry out the download.

*When the update package has been downloaded, make sure your battery is charged to at least 90% and then click on update.

*The phone will boot to recovery mode, apply the update and then reboot into the new Nougat OS.

The size of the update is about 1.5 GB, so please you have to make sure you have enough space on your phone before carrying out this update.
